Brownies

2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. butter or margarine (2 cubes) melted
2 cups flour

Mix cocoa into melted butter. Let sit for 5 minutes. Mix sugar and eggs together with wooden spoon. Mix cocoa/butter mixture into sugar and eggs. Mix in flour. Place in 1/2 sheet pan that is coated with Pam and flour. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the brownie and if it comes out clean it is done. Spread with frosting or just eat plain.

My sister Karen gave me this recipe when I was a teenager. Before that my family had always just made cake and cookies but never brownies. Everytime I make these, they are the first to go because they are soooooo yummy!

Some hints - 1. Always hand stir this recipe. 2. Put the dough in the pan as soon as you make it. 3. Always let the cocoa and butter mixture sit awhile. I just learned this a couple of months ago - they just seemed to turn out better.

Yes, they really are yummy! I'm not sure I should have the recipe, if you know what I mean.
